UDOWD is a collaborative partnership between federal, state, county, and local faith-based and nonprofit organizations that assist the defendant/ offender population in obtaining and maintaining employment. The UDOWD Taskforce was officially formed in late 2009, with a U.S. Magistrate Judge holding the title of first chair. At the time of donation, 300 coins had been produced by Point Emblems.

Obverse of 1 3/4" coin commemorating a softball tournament that the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York have played for more than two decades. Sponsored by the Federal Criminal Investigators Association, the tournament involves 12 teams from the NYC federal law enforcement community and raises money for the families of agents/officers killed or injured in the line of duty, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and the National Brain Tumor Society. The tournament was named after AUSA Charlie Rose (EDNY) who played in the tournament for many years and passed away in 2010 from a brain tumor. The coin features the elevated rail system being built from East Oahu to downtown Honolulu and runs through Waipahu, where the district's new satellite office is located. A single smokestack can be seen in the background, which represents a famous closed sugar mill, a throwback to Waipahu's time as a plantation community. The coin represents the past and future of Waipahu.

The coin is used as an incentive for persons under supervision and participants in the Court Assisted Pretrial Supervision (CAPS) program. The coins may be presented to defendants who demonstrate life-changing actions, such as sobriety, meaningful employment, education, and positive support systems. Generally, the coin design was inspired by a 2017 NDCA pretrial coin. All About Challenge Coins manufactured 100 coins, January 2019.
