FAQs:
Q: How long will Centennial items be for sale?
A: Ordering will permanently close December 31, 2025. As with prior commemorative items, they will never again be made available.
Q: Are the Centennial items restricted for sale only to U.S. Probation staff?
A: No, the Centennial items are not restricted. They are of special interest to our partner agencies and judicial staff but can be ordered by anyone.
Q: How can I have the Museum visit my event?
A: Use the Contact Us tab or email probationmuseum@gmail.com. The Museum has traveled all over the country to events for the Judicial and Executive Branches. The Museum may be the best value for your next event. The only charges are for the travel expenses of the curator and the shipping of the Museum case. See coming soon Museum on the road page for visuals.
Q: How do I obtain the world’s first Museum PVC CRED patch?
A: After an approved donation is received, you will receive a Museum PVC CRED patch. This offer is valid while supplies last and only one per person.
Q: What types of donations are accepted by the Museum?
A: Tools of the trade are most needed: credentials, badges, parking placards, service pins, early manuals or directives. Other district or team identifying items such as patches, coins, or pins are also welcome.
Items are also sought from partner agencies as displayed in the Museum such as U.S. Courts, U.S. Attorney, Federal Defender, or Bureau of Prisons.
Q: What does the Museum want to know about my donation?
A: A short history, story, and provenance of the item is very important for all donations. For district or team identifying items it is important to document who designed an item, who manufactured it, how many were made, and how is it used. Think about what future you would want to know about an item 100 years from now.
Q: If I donate will my personal identifying information (PII) be posted on the museum site?
A: An internal record will be kept of all donations, but your name will only be used at your request.
