Official parking pass donated by Retired Chief U.S. Probation & Pretrial Services Officer, District of Colorado, 2019. Used in the late 1980s or early 1990s. Item was brought to my attention by a U.S. Probation Officer formerly of the District of Colorado, now in the District of Puerto Rico.
Pre-1940 Department of Justice parking placard. Measures 6 1/4" x 3 1/2". Donated by the late Ray Sherrard, federal historian and collector.
U.S. District Court parking pass, Southern District of New York. Measures 7" x 4 1/4." Issued as U.S. Probation 1 and signed by Chief Judge Sidney Sugarman, Chief from 1966 to 1971. There was no parking available in the old New York City courthouse at 40 Foley Square, and officers parked their cars on the streets around the courthouse with this permit. Parking placard, 6"X12." Donated by Deputy Chief U.S. Probation Officer, Western District of Michigan. Issued to him in the Eastern District of Missouri, St. Louis, in 1997. Placards were used on government vehicles and personal vehicles while being used for government business. Placard also issued in blue.

The Honorable Richard Sheppard Arnold (March 26, 1936 - September 23, 2004) was a distinguished Judge of the U.S. District Court and then the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. In May 2002, the U.S. courthouse in Little Rock was renamed in Judge Arnold's honor. The seller of this top of a glass dish, 3 3/4" square, dismantled Judge Arnold's law library in the courthouse and was hired by his family to do the same with his home library. This piece was on his home desk and was used as a paperweight. Museum purchase.
Presented to now retired Probation Administrator, PPSO, for his "pee" service as an officer in the Eastern District of Virginia, I took this photo in his office at PPSO.

Donated by Supervisory U.S. Probation Officer Western District of Michigan. Coaster was given to him by Intensive Supervision Specialist in the Western District of Texas.

Presented as a memento to all staff at the Western District of Texas pretrial STARR district retreat in September 2018 to celebrate 30 years of Pretrial Service in the district and to symbolize their entry and progress with the STARR initiative.
